The ever faithful travelling band of supporters travelled north to watch a game of very much two halves.
Both sides were making errors at the start of the game making it a very scrappy first ten minutes, then a great break from Elisi on his own 22 passed to Tim Piper and then onto the flying Bobby Hewlett who was brought down illegally on the Chosen Hill 22. Burnham took the scrum option and the new look front row relished the opportunity, won the scrum, ball went through the hands and Jordan Paul scored.

Burnham kept the pressure on with some very accurate tactical kicking from Rio Cooper. Both sets of forwards were making mistakes and both being turned over, Burnham defence was outstanding with Luke Gowan leading the way, turning over Chosen Hill at a ruck and winning a penalty which allowed Rio to relieve the pressure. Chosen Hill knocked on from the line out and from the scrum Burnham set out to attack, The Chosen hill defence held firm and turned the ball over, there clearing kick found Jordan Paul, a great off load from Jordan to Rio then majestic handling skills from Rio, Tim, Elisi released Bobby to score again, try converted by Rio 0-12.

Chosen Hill upped there game but the seasiders defence was to strong, and it was Jordan again storming through the Chosen Hill line and skipping past tackles only to be stopped 5m short of the try line, great support play as the ball was popped up to Lloyd Steward to score under the posts. Try converted by Cooper 0-19.
The home side game fighting back and there relentless attacking was rewarded with a penalty which was converted, making the half time score 3-19.

The second half starting as the first with both sides making mistakes, Chosen Hill had more possession and starting applying more and more pressure, Burnham were working tirelessly in defence which resulted in a penalty to the home side 6-19, Burnham made a couple of decent breaks but the interpretation of the ruck became a mess with Burnham loosing out on many occasions which allowed chosen Hill back into the game.
A line out on Burnhams 22 saw the home side move it through the hands to score, try converted 13-19. The tension was building and the home side picked up the aggression, several incidents went unseen by the official and this gave them the upper hand, a scrum 15m from Burnhams line resulted in the ball spewing out the side and the Chosen hill flanker was the first to react picking up the ball and running in to score in the 7th minute of injury time, try converted. 20-19. Full Time!!!!
