Burnham continued on their dismal run in a match they could have won but our two old favourites yet again reared their ugly heads poor tackling and ill-discipline. CHFP opened the scoring when the referee awarded them a penalty try7-0 and poor defensive work allowed their opponents to cross the line twice more. Both converted. Piper kicked 2 good penalties against the wind against the wind to redress the balance leaving Burnham a slim chance for Burnham to take into the second half with the strengthening wind behind them but somebody forgot to tell Burnham and instead of booting the ball down the park they kept trying to run it ,even from their own 22.when they did manage to lay siege to their opponent’s line, they contrived to either lose control or commit a misdemeanour, apart from smart move culminating in the backs making a smart move, with a reverse pass, enabling Richard Muskett to cross the line. Piper converted. However CHFP capitalised on Burnham’s inability to play in their opponent’s half by scoring another try and adding a penalty goal to run out winners 13-29.This week are away to Cheltenham.
