Burnham travelled to Gloucester to record a comprehensive victory, performing with a confident and composed manner involving all the players and it was only because the last 25 minutes were played with uncontested scrums, otherwise Burnham would have probably increased the score.Hard to select match winners but both Mike Hocking,Nick McKen and Tim Piper all made large contributions.Burnham started with the slope in their favour and after Hayden Tuttiett had slotted over 3 penalties to one against he added to his personal tally, after good pressure from Burnham’s pack,by spotting a convenient gap and crossed the line.3-14.A few minutes later Fotu Latu raced in after almost everybody had had a hand in keeping the move going.3-19.Just before halftime Latu doubled his try count, capitalising on a neat inside pass from Piper. In the second half were caught by a smartly taken penalty conceding a try in the corner but that was the last time that Gordon League posed any threat.and shortly afterwards Burnham’s pack produced good ball from a scrum to enable Piper to execute a miss move creating the space for Russell Pike to cross the line.8-31.Burnham’s next score showed the power and pace of their forwards with Mike Hocking breaking away and then exchanging passes with Spelman before collecting the return and scoring under the posts.8-38.Finally to round it all off Piper stole the ball, out to Pike to release Jordan Paul to demonstrate his pace and finishing.8-45.All conversions were kicked by Tuttiett giving him a 20 point haul.A consummate performance which demonstrated Burnham’s all round ability from one to fifteen.Well done Burnham.Burnham’s next match is home to Old Centralians on Saturday 14th April 3pm kickoff.
