Burnham travelled to Cornwall, along with their faithful supporters, only to be taught a harsh lesson by a well-organised side with an admirable home record, which they continued to maintain.Suffice to say,Burnham in the first half, playing with the wind, managed to concede 5 tries without once entering the opposition 22 with ball in hand, also losing Matt Love with a broken finger.Half time 27-0.
Burnham performed considerably better in the second half, conceding 2 tries to 1,scored by Oti completing a bruising defiant charge from 7 metres out.Final score 39-5.
On reflection, the less said the better, but, somehow,Burnham must lose the monkey on their back about away games. With 6 games to go,3 at home and 3 away, they must utilise their potential in the home matches and try to garnish as many points as possible in the away games,so that they may maintain their status in Western Counties.
