A much needed win for Burnham with no quarter asked and none given.Throughout the game Burnham were on the front foot and even though they elected to play against a strong wind, for the first 20 minutes Burnham were on the offensive, until, against the run of play,Nth Bristol secured the ball from a penalty lineout and after 4 phases they manufactured a hole for their scrum half to dive through.0-5.Five minutes later Burnham opted for a scrum after a penalty, out to the backs,2 quick phases before Danny Spelman muscled his way over.Piper converted.7-5.Just before halftime Nth Bristol transgressed allowing Piper the opportunity to add 3 further points.Halftime 10-5.For the next 25 minutesBurnham hammered away at the opposition, barely allowing them out of their own half, but try as they might they could not break trough until eventually Nth Bristol were penalised for kicking the ball away thereby giving Piper the chance to add a further 3 points, which turned out to be the final score.Plus points, much more effort, renewed confidence and considerably better tackling.Well done Burnham.Away this week against Chew Valley.Coach leaves at 1145am.
