A pulsating, exhilarating game in which Burnham produced their absolute best in every single aspect of the game, setting aside the first few moments of the match, with each and every one of them playing their part.Chew valley kicked and initially showed why they were in the top four of the league and with a much heavier pack than Burnham they were able to provide their backs with quality ball and after 6 minutes CV’s stand off spotted an opportunity to run at BOS’s defence and cut through and score close to the posts.7-0.From then on,try as they might CV could not breakdown the Burnham line and eventually as Burnham gained more and more confidence they came back with a vengeance.Firstly by frustrating their opponents, thereby gaining a penalty, secondly getting good lineout possession, followed by three successful phases before Jordan” Rhino ” Wikiteria showed his strength and agility to stretch out his arm and score a try, converted by Piper.7-7.Burnham continued to pressurize CV who eventually transgressed giving Piper the chance to take the points.7-10.Eive minutes after the restart Burnham’s determined rolling maul, five of them, created a hole on the blind side for Richard”Kiwi”Muskett to score out wide.Piper then managed to use the swirling wind to add the extra points 7-17.From then on Burnham’s discipline,in fact only giving away 3 penalties in the first 70 minutes, kept CV at bay and if Burnham’s set piece had been considerably better they might have gained further reward, however, that was not to be leaving Burnham worthy winners after a splendid performance.Head coach Graham Buller expressed his delight by saying that Burnham were the better side because the were more disciplined, had stronger character, more determination and stuck to their game plan for the duration of the match. What a result.Well done Burnham.Burnham are at home this week to Avon, kickoff 215pm .Should be a cracker.
