To use an old cliche,a game of two halves.Burnham started with everything in their favour, slope and wind, but were unable to capitalise on this advantage and within three minutes S&P went ahead to lead 7-0.Burnham came back with a storming run by Beau Dickins, quickly recycled for Jordyn Wikiteria to cross the line ,Tom Chaffey converted 7-7.It took a furher 15 minutes before Burnham were able to exert sufficient pressure, followed by good scrummaging,2 phases later Richard Manley crashed over to record his debut try for Burnham.Chaffey converted.7-14.This,however,only seemed to galvanise S&P and combined with a series of missed tackles by Burnham created an opportunity for S&P to level the score just before halftime 14-14.S&P started the second half by forcing Burnham to concede a penalty, thereby going ahead 17-14 but fortunately this was the catalyst to wake Burnham up.Firstly with great determination and clever retention, which allowed Wikiteria to show his considerable strength to cross the line.17-19.With Burnham now beginning to display their superior control and skill all round they landed a penalty[Chaffey]S&P offside, until after winning two consecutive penalty lineouts they went through a series of phases to create enough space out wide for Matt Love to finish off.Chaffey obliged 17-29.Final score.
