Burnham on sea 2nd XV  travelled to Wellington on saturday. This was a much anticipated fixture as BOS had ended on a high at this very fixture last season and were keen to continue the form and Wellington were keen to avenge the crippling defeat they had suffered last season. The BOS Squad, looked fit, strong and focused on a beautiful autumnal afternoon, a perfect day for rugby,it was game on and everyone knew it.Bos had some old 2nd XV  row’s back in the fold along with some very promising youngsters, victory was coursing through their veins.Wellington were disappointly short and thanks are due to Dennis Coggins  a Burnham stalwert who hooked for them, the whole game.Bos were fortunate to play downhill  the first half, which  showed their fitness to  great advantage .First rate performances from Matt Love and Rob Lewis who really carved Wellington up,backed up by a solid commited performance from the rest of the team which racked up an impressive scoreline by halftime.Substitutions were made during the break which albeit playing uphill , enabled BOS to continue scoring points. At the games conclusion the ref was heard to comment that Bos was a force to be reckoned with. Who Gets the honours? Matt Love had a huge impact scoring three tries, the captain Matt Slater not wanting to be left out, scored his nominal one. Young Tom Stevens, scored one andDave harris scored two and made seven .conversionsSolid performances from Ryan Reynolds, and Mike Edwards at scrum half completed an outstanding win.
